The Lion's Gate Portal has been celebrated as a cosmic New Year for thousands of years, ushering in energies of abundance and prosperity. It's a potent time for manifestation, aligning perfectly with the heart-centered frequencies we know are crucial for bringing our dreams to life.
The Lion's Gate Portal weaves in the astronomical significance of Sirius — the star the Egyptians worshipped as Sopdet, the heavenly representation of Isis, Mother of all Gods. When Earth aligns with Sirius and the constellation of Leo, we enter a sacred time of amplified creation and manifestation. You can think of it as the Mother of Creation Portal.
Many mystics also honor Hawaii — home of Pele, the volcanic goddess — as the heart chakra of the Earth. At the peak of the Lion's Gate Portal, it's said that the starlight of Sirius and Isis streams down and anchors directly into Pele's volcanic fire, a marriage of Star Fire and Earth Fire. It's this alchemy — Pele's fierce burning away of the old, meeting Isis's rebirth — that we call on to release what no longer serves us and step into something higher.
Whether you're feeling the call of the divine feminine awakening, or ready to reunite and dance with a community of soul family and the greater NaiAsa Ohana growing strong over the past 14+ years, we welcome you to join for this very special guided activation and celebration.
We'll dance sacred NaiAsana namaskars invoking and honoring Gaia, Pele, Kuan Yin, and Isis — cultivating harmony of the divine feminine and masculine with the medicine of NeuroSomatic Flow®. Throughout, we'll be working with the infinity symbol, the universal flow pattern that anchors so much of this practice — a living reminder that creation, like this portal, moves in cycles without end. We'll weave in chants and a celebration free flow dance as always, and a few special guests will be adding extra magic along the way — more on that soon.
This year, the Lion's Gate Portal also marks Dr. Jinju's 50th birthday, and her B-EARTH day wish is for all of us to gather, dance, and pray in support of women, children, and our beloved Mother Earth.
Most importantly, we're not only going to have fun, play, and shine together — we're gathering for a bigger collective purpose, to support women, children, and our Mother Gaia through the rebirth of the Saraswati Seva Project (see more below).

These circles are safe and sacred spaces to gather as 'Ohana, nurture your soul, deepen your somatic wisdom, and explore new (and ancient) ways of healing, transforming, and unlocking Flow. Not just any kind of flow, the kind that is ignited in your soul - the spark your divinity. This is ultimately a space for you and your inner fire seeds (your visions, intentions, and prayers) to be held and nurtured.
Every circle will bring an insight and/or practice from the NaiAsa Institute NeuroSomatic Flow® Teacher & Coach Training.
While each circle will have a different theme, every circle weaves the universal threads of science, soul, and soma, in service to Lokahi (Hawaiian word for Harmony & Flow) consciousness within and all around.
Our overarching map: The Lokahi Medicine Wheel—NaiAsa Institute's teaching and coaching model, rooted in the five elements (Spirit, Air, Earth, Water, Fire) and five layers of consciousness (the koshas from yogic philosophy). This 5-spiral process reflects both ancient wisdom and modern science of how to manifest visions, heal, and create lasting change.
Depending on the circle, practices may include chanting, journaling, meditation, prayer, ritual, breathwork, dance, yoga, and NeuroSomatic Flow® (learn more below), along with the occasional Goddess Brain® gem.
The language of FLOW, like love and nature, is UNIVERSAL. The dance of the cosmos requires us to be aware of and embodied in our multi-dimensionality. This is a space to learn the language of flow and remember our infinite potential, together.
Last but not least, in a world where the masculine yang energies and machine-based technologies have dominated and continue to shape global systems, these circles aim to awaken harmony with more feminYIN energies and with our true Nature. It is more crucial than ever to be able to discern and embody the healthiest forms of partnership and harmony within the various narratives of duality.
We look forward to communing and sharing in powerful practices, teachings, and insights to support our individual and collective journeys in this precious dance of life, and of humanity.
Let us begin with the word: Nai'a.
Nai'a (pronounced Nai - ya) is the root word of NaiAsa (Institute) and of NaiAsana Yoga (one of the practices we offer). In the Hawaiian language, nai'a is the word for dolphin, and in the ancient Greek language, naia is the root word of naiad, which means goddess who flows like water.
NaiAsa Institute was birthed after a series of magical and powerful encounters with the dolphins of Kealakekua Bay on the Big Island of Hawai'i (story for another time). Co-founder, Dr. Jinju Dasalla also grew up on the island of Oahu where she was first introduced to the art of hula, dancing with poi, and with fire, which later became the focus of her "Medicine of Flow" research, upcoming book, and foundation of NeuroSomatic Flow®.
What is the spirit message of the Nai'a?
Weaving the elements of water and air, sun and moon, yin and yang... Nai'a bring the gift of freedom found in playfulness, power expressed through harmony, and uniqueness found in connection—to yourself, your community, and that which makes you come alive.
Dolphins are one of the only creatures that truly value joy and pleasure. They are also the only other species with brains as large as ours—and in many ways, more complex than the human brain.
When life, and the world, begin to feel serious, heavy, and bound by effort, Dolphin reminds us to lighten up with spontaneous flow. They call us into the realm of synchronicity with trust in the divine perfection of the moment.
Dolphin (and the entire NaiAsa Institute Team) is here to remind you of the dreams and visions you once held but thought you had lost. It matters not what waves may have passed you by. Now is a fresh moment, and Dolphin is calling you to surf the magic of your inner call.

NeuroSomatic Flow® (NSF) is where the neuroscience of transformation meets the wisdom of the body to rapidly rewire and unlock Flow.
The practice of NSF is designed to empower you in identifying and releasing major barriers to "flow" to courageously and powerfully rise up into new, expanded versions of yourself.
NSF is rooted in the following concept:
When the body learns to move in an intentionally new way, the brain rewires itself to perceive in new ways... all while simultaneously releasing old trauma and stories that no longer serve.

While some circles may incorporate flow props (such as poi, hula hoop, fabric, fans, etc.,..) they are not necessary. We look forward to expanding our offerings to include classes that focus specifically on NSF with props for healing, transformation, and soul expression. (stay tuned!)
We strongly encourage you to use a smartphone or laptop with a functional camera & mic because we'll want to engage as many of our senses as possible (visual and auditory especially) to amplify and optimize your experience.
